I Am Martin Parr (2024)I enjoyed this, though it didn't get super deeply critical of Parr's work or anything. One thing that happened was we had ordered dinner and our first Skip order got cancelled after it seemed like the driver had it in their car for 40 minutes. I was halfway through this doc when it finally arrived and they were getting into his uncomfortable closeups of food at the same time I was struggling with the messiest hoagie known to man. Interesting that one of the talking heads was Bruce Gelden because I don't find his approach to street photography nearly as charming. Parr is kind of unassuming, nonthreatening, whereas Gelden shoves a flash in unsuspecting people's faces. Also the doc is colour graded just like Parr's photgraphy, which was a nice touch.
