a review of 变脸

i watched this a week out of surgery. it is absolutely wild watching after a major surgical procedure and listening to the phlebotonum of the Face/Off surgeon describing the procedure over the montage. the surgery that you recover from in, what was it? three days? totally reversible! i was too fatigued for the frenetic pace so i watched most of it set to 1/2 and 3/4 speed. the dialogue really starts to break apart below .57 or so. it is very funny watching them talk about needing to disarm a bomb with no apparent hurry. i did eventually speed it up because i didn't want to look at John Travolta anymore. but i highly recommend watching this on slow. it would make a really fun screening event
