a review of Earthrise

Beautiful imagery and contemplations of the first manned crew that left Earth to view it from a vast, relativizing distance. I used to be a total space freak as a kid, with newspaper articles and photos of space-related news glued to the walls of my childhood bedroom. Those early days of space exploration felt more sincere and exciting, more for the benefit of mankind, as opposed to today's over-commercialized space initiatives and needlessly extending the short-sighted concept of country demarcation into space.
