Fantasia (1940)I was completely enchanted when I first saw Fantasia. I think it's Disney's biggest masterpiece: daring, experimental, brilliantly animated, beautiful music. It's pure, time-transcending magic, and at the same time it radiates a pleasantly nostalgic 1940s atmosphere. My favorite part is the very atmospheric Night on Bald Mountain, animated by the genius Bill Tytla, accompanied by Moussorgsky's powerful score, and inspired by Kay Nielsen's gorgeous concept artwork.
