The Princess Bride (1987)Rewatched The Princess Bride for the first time in approximately twenty years, and I still love it. It’s such a disarming, lovable and humorous film. A great tribute to the golden age of swashbuckler films, and very 1980s at the same time. Robin Wright is blindingly beautiful, and the entire cast is splendid. The chemistry between the actors and the fun they must have had is palpable. Last but not least, a film that starts with a youngster playing the brilliant Hardball game on a Commodore 64 couldn’t go wrong for me anymore.
