a review of 飞奔去月球

My wife wanted to watch Over the Moon with me, and I was a bit afraid it would be solely targeted at infants, but when I saw in the opening credits that my old hero Glen Keane was the man behind the film, I was ready to go for it. 🙂 When I was a youngster, Glen Keane was an important factor in the revival of Disney's animation reputation, with quality 2D-animated feature films like The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. Yeah, Over the Moon had its mawkish moments, and the scenario was a bit formulaic, but nevertheless there was some unmistakable, good old Keane magic to be enjoyed. And being a 3D designer, I also enjoyed the massive display of sub-surface scattering in the skin of the glowy moon characters. 🙂
