I really liked In den Gängen. The creators have managed to turn a supermarket into a dreamy, poetic reflection of life's ordinarity and transience.

The beautiful screen compositions, the effective use of music, the tragicomic situations and the cast's fine performances made it possible to watch the daily concerns of a supermarket staff for two hours without becoming bored.

The lead character is an enigmatic figure, reminiscent of Joaquin Phoenix. He tells more with his silence than many actors are able to tell with the spoken word.
