Cinderella (1950)

After recently rewatching Disney's Sleeping Beauty, I decided to refresh my impression of Cinderella as well. I guess Disney raised the age of their target audience for Sleeping Beauty (1959), as Cinderella (1950) is more childish and mawkish, featuring a range of anthropomorphic animals with squeaky voices and slapstick antics. Although Cinderella includes some unmistakeable Disney magic, particularly in the shape of beautiful background artwork, it didn't enchant me like Sleeping Beauty still turned out to do. Lots of elements from Cinderella were revisited in Sleeping Beauty though, such as the corpulent king and the goofy servant.
