a review of

less a review, more a scattered list of observations i feel like the person on imdb correcting historical "goofs" is kind of missing the point here this is the second rankin film i've seen where random characters have had genderswapped casting and i'm here for it. i hope he keeps casting things this way. i had to go back and refresh my social studies but i'm not entirely sure if knowing the actual history is required or not. mmmaaybe? some of the visuals were super reminiscent of a simon hughes painting to the point where i checked the credits to see if he had been involved, but he hadn't the sets are gorgeous, and the sets in the last section, the skating maze, are incredible. the visuals are so beautiful i almost didn't react to the narwhal impalement scene
