Blood and Black Lace - Review

This was pretty much what i expected from one of the most influential early giallo flicks. All the moody and vibrant cinematography, masterfully executed setpieces are there, but so is lots of poor dialogue, awkward dubbing and laughable character motivation. Having anticipated these flaws that just seem to come with the genre, i could thoroughly enjoy its strong points, which won me over in the end. Just triple down on your suspension of disbelief and immerse yourself in a sea of color. View the whole thing like a freudian, dreamlike noir fairy tale and you'll find plenty to enjoy in this.
