a review of 飞鹰艾迪

Eddie the Eagle is a genuine feel-good movie. Although it follows most hackneyed conventions of the genre, it nevertheless manages to be touching and funny. The fact that it's based on a true life story also contributes to the impression. Taron Egerton did a great job portraying the whimsical Eddie the Eagle character, but to be honest I thought Hugh Jackman's performance was less convincing. His charisma and sympathetic personality saved him, but his character felt a bit forced and uninspired to me. I think it would have worked better if an unknown actor had played the supporting role. In conclusion, Eddie the Eagle is a charming, heart-warming tale of victory through perseverance.
