Anata ga furikaeru toki ("When You Look Back", 1993) is a barely-animated OVA based on a light novel released in the same year…so light, there's barely anything there. It incorporates three high school romance stories:

1. Incoming freshman Mizuho develops an immediate crush on ski club captain Haruhiko. Unfortunately she sucks at sports, but her friend Kanako supports her in trying to make it in the ski club and with Haruhiko.
2. Now we pivot to Kanako and her love interest, Haruhiko's friend, Hidetsugu. Buckle up for some riveting handwringing over teenage Valentine's day gift-giving.
3. Now we get the whole gang together back at the ski lodge for some skiing, snowboarding, friendship, and romantic optimism. This had 4 letterboxd views, no reviews, no subtitles, and practically nothing written in English about it when I stumbled across it. So after watching I felt compelled to write this review up to let you know that you can pretty confidently skip it.
