a review of 绿色房间

Green Room is an original thriller, with a dark, brooding, tense atmosphere throughout the film, and some nasty gore scenes, especially the knife cuts. There were a few things that didn't really work for me though, the main thing being that all characters — on both sides — remained too calm for the situation they were facing, as if everyone was on tranquillizers most of the time. Even deaths just happened, without much intensity. Also, the ending surprised me. The story felt unfinished, given the circumstances. I won't go into details, to avoid spoilers, but the abrupt ending wasn't satisfying to me.
