Like many 60s and 70s pink flicks, this is a rather provocative and bizarre one about a group of teenagers trying to figure out the role sex should assume in their lives and especially, trying to make sense of the moral restrictions society puts on it. They decide to put their previously held beliefs to the test in the most hands-on fashon: By selling one of their girls into prostitution, effectively acting as her pimps while also attempting to get some insight out of it: Is there happiness to be found in promiscuous sex?
A fascinating discussion made into a movie by occasionally quite absurd and hilarious means. Where the film falters though is in its conclusion. What could have been a tale of sexual liberation becomes just another moral tale, one in which deviant sexual behavior inevitably leads to misery. That’s really unfortunate for a film that’s so bold and ahead of its time otherwise.
