a review of 黑色弥撒

I hesitated for several months before I finally decided to view Black Mass, after everything I had read about it. Most reviewers came to the same conclusion: Johnny Depp delivers an impressive performance in a mediocre crime biography. I guess I can largely relate to that opinion, although my low expectations avoided a real disappointment. Being a Johnny Depp aficionado since his role in Edward Scissorhands, I was pleased to see him play a real-life character again, although even here he couldn't take a break from the make-up that defines his many fantasy characters. All in all I didn't find Black Mass a waste of time. Depp's performance already made it worthwile.
