Third entry into Arrow Film’s American Horror Project anthology. This is a rather straightforward psychological thriller with paranormal overtones that - not quite unlike The Witch Who Came from the Sea, also included in the set - might just barely classify as a horror flick. Also quite like that one, it really gets the drama right. Overall this is the most competent film of the batch so far; well-acted and with a decent budget. Sadly for the same reasons, it also turns out to be the least memorable one and its script might have been more effective hadn’t they shoehorned in the paranormal tropes, which don’t really add anything crucial to the story. Still worth watching though.
