The sequel is directed by James Cameron, which means he uses any excuse he can to film extended underwater diving scenes where no piranhas are present. The first film hinted at piranha mutants with legs, but we do not get that. instead they lunge at people somehow, in an ungainly, rubbery way. They're still going "bibbitybibbitybibbity" Dialogue is really bad. fun banter of the first movie is gone.
