Okay this is an unsubtle red scare film that could have been a radio play. Yeah most scifi movies of the era could be described as "red scare", but this scare is literally a red fungus. The number of times they describe a woman they are looking for as "good looking" and everybody somehow knows what that means. "She had pretty teeth" "Oh, like this?" *pulls out image of exact mouth* and then the fungus itself was cool and gloppy but really only seemed to eat suitcases after the first victim. I was amused by how the genre seemed to switch to budget Perry Mason in first five minutes and never come back to scifi And then it just ends, I guess? Also same plot as The Magnetic Monster
