a review of 当邪恶潜伏时

I thought When Evil Lurks had an intriguing scenario. The rural setting added to the feeling of authenticity, and there were some harrowing scenes. But there were some elements that bothered me and diminished my involvement, such as the repeated stupid decisions of the main character, and his sometimes too passive responses to very alarming situations. In general the acting was often either too hysterical or too subdued. But all in all, it certainly wasn’t bad. I’ve just got callus on my soul when it comes to horror films. 🙂
