a review of 小人物

I hoped Nobody would be similar to films like Straw Dogs (1971), Death Wish (1974) and Falling Down (1993): the somewhat credible one-man revenge genre with an anti-hero who gets pushed over the edge. But just before I started watching Nobody, a friend told me that this film is considered to be part of the John Wick universe. And now I fully understand why. Like John Wick, Nobody turned out to be yet another utterly implausible and yawn-inducing 'let's shoot ten thousand stereotypical Russian bad guys' circus show. It felt like a whimsical 1970s Bud Spencer and Terence Hill farce, but with guns. I'm too old for this shit.
