- 9.3 Solarpunk Presents: Appropedia & Appropriate Technology with Felipe Schenone

Have you ever heard of appropriate technology? It's all about the type of technology that is accessible to most people, from its creation to its use and repair, inclusive and appropriate for various environments. The website Appropedia is a wiki style repository of knowledge with more than 4,000 projects detailed on the site relating to sustainability, accessibility, inclusion and an appropriately paced rate of progression for all parties involved in the global community, rather than presenting technologies that the end user does not know how it works, how to replicate it or how to repair it, and instead are simply told to 'keep up.' This is technology built with justice. How cool is that? We also have a segment testing a few solarpunk tech ideas for appropriateness just to get a better sense of how the definition can be applied!
