Irene Wan

Irene Wan Bik-Ha (Chinese: 溫碧霞) is a Hong Kong actress, singer, and producer. Her father was an officer in the Republic of China Army. In her early years until she married, she was known as a "sexy beauty" and was regarded more for her looks than for her acting. However, in the 1990s her film career faltered when she agreed to star in All of a Sudden (1996), which was her first and only time appearing fully nude in a movie; the explicit scenes lasted more than four minutes (compared with Everlasting Love (1984), where she had five erotic scenes but was only half-nude and the scenes totalled less than two minutes). Many of the erotic scenes in her later films were not as daring as those in All of a Sudden (1996). The move failed to revive her film career, but she later went on to star in various TVB dramas.

In 2019 she was 53 years old, yet a sex scene with two younger actors (the male actor 14 years her junior and the female actress 27 years her junior) drew mixed comments. Her same-sex scene with a younger actress especially excited the press. Nevertheless, her lead role in the film helped her win the Best Actress in a Leading Role award at the 8th Silk Road International Film Festival in 2020.
