A man returning to his old neighbourhood after a prison term finds that the friends he used to hang out with are now a violent street gang that is terrorizing the community.

During the 1920s in Shanghai, an all female Chinese Opera troupe is struggling. The troupe boss calls on Tsui to join them in the hope that her fighting sequences will pull the troupe out from imminent close-down. This enrages the actresses who are already quarreling among themselves. However, they come together when a Triad Boss Chang, goes after one of them. The actors and a young man named Lu and his friends become embroiled with the mobster.

Wu Ma stars as a ghost who's searching for the perfect husband for his daughter. In order to get her married, the two decide to leave the spirit plain and head for the land of the living. To their surprise the world had drastically changed since they've last visited. The duo finds a likely candidate in a street hustler. The ghostly pair chase the poor guy until he seeks the help of a tao priest. Will the Tao priest send these wandering spirits back to hell or will the hustler join is ghostly bride forever?

To save the village from paranormal menaces, the One-Eyebrow Priest deals with and battles a host of mysterious creatures including: a little mischievous Chinese vampire; a lustful female ghost; the spirit of a woman murdered by a club owner and a European vampire and his blood-sucking pet bats.
