In the Edo period of Japan, a samurai’s life belonged to his lord. On the battlefield or in the home, a loyal samurai must always obey his lord’s commands. This is the tragic story of one such loyal samurai, whose love for his family forced him to make the ultimate choice of disobeying the wishes of his lord.

A chronicle of the life of Yasui Santetsu, a 17th century master of go who turned his attention to astronomy and created a new calendar for Japan. Based on the life of Santetsu Yasui (December 27, 1639-November 1, 1715), appointed as the first official astronomer in the Edo Period and would go on to create the Jokyo calendar at the imperial request.

Etsuko's café in her peaceful little seaside town is where everyone gathers to gossip and taste her famous brew. But the winds of change are beginning to blow.

Kyosuke Kozu (Masaomi Kondo), a university professor and a famous detective, is a big magic lover. He was asked to judge the Magic Competition to be held in Ito, and set out with his sister Nobuko, her lover's newspaper reporter Kenzo, and the brothers Shiro Kishibe. On the day, Shigeko Mizutani, who was supposed to play the guillotine technique, went missing, and she was found dead while her sister Yoshiko was taking her place. The suspects include Yoshiko, Shigeko's husband, Ryohei Mizutani, and her secretary, Yuriko.

Densuke Hamazaki is an office worker at Suzuki Construction and gets transferred to the main Tokyo office. After settling in to his surrounding along with his wife Eri, Densuke befriends an elderly man named Ichinosuke Suzuki. Ichinosuke is a lonely and old man who learns to enjoy life again through his friendship with Densuke. Meanwhile, Densuke is completely unaware that Ichinosuke is the boss of his construction company. The two men become friends through their shared passion for fishing.

A man in a hospital starts having a sexual conversation with a woman he cannot see. After that, they keep meeting, and something about her keeps changing.

Ryoko, a free-spirited 23-year-old woman, quits her job after being caught having an affair with a co-worker and finds herself on the street. She comes to Tokyo, relying on her aunt Moeko, a career woman who works as a manager at a major city bank. The two, who have completely different personalities, quarrel constantly whenever they see each other.

Featuring journalist Shiro Yamaoka who works for Touzai Shimbun. He is a cynical food critic who is tasked by the newspaper's owner, along with the young Yuko Kurita, to provide recipes for the "ultimate menu".

While on a cigarette break in between sets, Koji, a jazz musician, witnesses a murder and runs into a girl, Linda, who is being pursued by the killers. Mistakenly identified as prime suspects, they have to solve the crime but time is running out: Koji has to be back to perform in his club by midnight, as a very special guest will be attending.

A mahjong neophyte loses everything to game master only to hone his skills, take on all challenges and plan for an ultimate revenge match.

The story follows the teacher and students of the Ryubetsu Handicapped High School.

第二次世界大战结束后的六十周年，青年佐伯健太郎（桐谷健太 饰）再度遭遇司法考试的挫败。适值此时，他的外婆去世，在和姐姐庆子（广末凉子 饰）奔丧期间他们发现与现在的外公（伊东四朗 饰）并无血缘关系，而真正的外公早已在二战中牺牲。以此为契机，健太郎在姐姐的督促下着手调查外公宫部久藏（向井理 饰）的事迹。据说久藏当年是部队中飞行技术一流的战士，但是每当执行任务时他总逡巡在战局外围，当战友受伤归来时，他往往毫发无伤，以致于被战称为海军航空队第一胆小鬼。
随着调查的深入，健太郎逐渐发现久藏胆小鬼外表下那令人不易察觉的一面，而外公最终慨然赴死的秘密也昭然若揭……

《學校》是山田洋次構思了15年的意念。影片的背景是一所夜間中學，負責教學的是已屆中年的黑井先生。

他本來可以有機會調職到另一家正規學校任教，但他卻拒絕了。又一個學期要過去，在畢業禮即將來臨之前，黑井叫每個學生都以過去一年的日子做題材，寫下一些值得回味的事情。班上的同學，有不同年齡的、不同國藉和背景的，不約而同都發現：歲月雖然匆匆，但箇中悲喜，尤其是黑井的關懷，卻教他們永誌難忘。

本片是山田洋次創作生涯上的另一高峰：七年間已拍了四集，是山田繼《男人之苦》後的第二個成功系列。

Directed by the creator of the Tora-san series, Yamada Yoji, "A Class to Remember" unfolds in a night junior high school on the lower east side of Tokyo. Students from their teens to their sixties are enrolled. One of the most beloved teachers, Kuroi, asks each student to write an essay recalling their experience in the night school. In the midst of the class, a piece of tragic news arrives: Inoda, one of Kuroi's students, has passed away, upon which the whole class starts talking about each other's memory of Inoda. Compassionate and extremely poignant, "A Class to Remember", marks the beginning of another film series for Yamada. So far four installments have been made and all are box office hits.

An MSDF submarine collides with a U.S. nuclear submarine, crushing all 76 people on board, including its CO, Shiro Kaieda. However, the crew survives. The accident is a cover story to get the MSDF submarine's crew on board the Seabat, a nuclear submarine secretly built by the Japanese and U.S. governments. However, Kaieda loads the Seabat with nuclear missiles and suddenly mutinies and flees.

Ranmaru is a 450-year-old vampire who works in a bathhouse. As a vampire he is particularly picky about his blood choices, his main goal being to drink the blood of an 18-year-old virgin. To do so, he has been watching 15-year-old Rihito, the son of the bathhouse owner who saved him from near death. Rihito must not lose his virginity before he turns 18 and Ranmaru does everything he can to prevent that. However, when Rihito starts to show interest in a classmate, Ranmaru's desperate fight to preserve the boys virginity begins.
