Sword in the Shadows (Italian: Una spada nell'ombra) is a 1961 Italian swashbuckler film directed by Luigi Capuano and starring Tamara Lees and Livio Lorenzon.

The story circulates around the classical Black Pirate and his battle against arch enemy Prins van Gould. The Black Pirate is out for revenge on his brothers' killers. He has a blood-planned way to go, and he trusts only to his own rap sword.

The ten gladiators are hired to travel to Arbela, a small country on the outskirts of the Roman Empire to learn if Parthia is planning to war with Rome. Upon arriving, the heroes decide to kidnap the beautiful Parthian queen and spirit her to Syria to serve as a hostage.
