故事发生在阿拉德历977年，巴隆（近藤隆 配音）因为受到了卡赞的诅咒而致使左手“鬼化”，成为了不详和灾祸的象征，因而遭到了村民的驱逐，被迫离开家乡。和附身在巨剑上的精灵罗克希（渡边明乃 配音）一起，巴隆踏上了旅途，希望能够找到解开诅咒的办法。
正直勇敢的神枪手卡本西斯（铃村健一 配音）、活泼开朗的女格斗家纽梅（野川樱 配音）、率真直爽的魔法师依克希尔（辻亚由美 配音）、热情喜感的牧师杰达（黑田崇矢 配音）、同样身中诅咒的阿甘左（浜田贤二 配音），一路上，巴隆结识了各种各样的伙伴，一行人在无畏之中前行，渐渐抵达事件的真相。

《棋魂》改变自堀田由美的同名作品，漫画由小畑健执笔，并由日本棋院的女棋士梅泽由香里担当监修。当年上映引起轰动后，引发了一股学习围棋的热潮，借由佐为的附身改变了主人公进藤光，讲述了其棋艺和心灵的成长，也在其中普及了围棋知识，意义深远。

因为一块布丁，野原新之助（矢岛晶子 配音）和妹妹向日葵（こおろぎさとみ 配音）激烈争吵，身为哥哥他自然受到爸爸广志（藤原啓治 配音）和妈妈美伢（ならはしみき 配音）的训斥。小新恼羞成怒，扬言“不要当哥哥！不要妹妹了！”就在此刻，一胖一瘦两个绿衣人出现，声称愿意将小葵收养，以向日葵公主的身份展开新的生活。一道刺眼强光过后，签订了协议的野原一家被吸入UFO，开始了吉凶未卜的宇宙旅行。

The show takes place in Ogikubo, which is the name of the specially designated area in space in the Milky Way where Earthlings and aliens can live together. Luluco is a female middle school student who lives with her father, and no matter where she is, Luluco is a common, "super normal" girl. As she is living her normal life, one day the mysterious transfer student ΑΩ Nova abruptly appears before her. That meeting will change Luluco's fate.

With high school graduation right around the corner, Takumi Fujiwara has a lot on his mind and a lot to prepare for.
