《新·奥特曼》是圆谷株式会社、东宝株式会社、Khara联合制作，东宝株式会社发行的电影。该片由庵野秀明制片、编剧，樋口真嗣担任总导演和特技导演，斋藤工、长泽雅美、西岛秀俊主演，于2022年5月13日在日本上映。该片以现代社会为舞台，以能够体验存在“至今为止谁也没有见过的奥特曼”的世界为目标。

Two people meet each other after missing the last train home, leading to a beautiful relationship over five years.

Nagasaki in 1986. Hisada, who lives with her affectionate parents and her younger brother, although there are many quarrels between couples, is a fifth grader who loves Yuki Saito and Exogini. Omameda Towako recently become the president of the construction company "Shirokuma Housing". She has experienced three divorces and is currently living with her 15-year-old daughter, Uta. The movie begins in the year 1995 where there were 5 peculiar murder cases. The murderer would always get someone close to the victim to witness how he would strangle the victim from behind with a rope but he would let the witnesses go and speak to the media on how the murders happened. Ito plays the role of Makimura, the police detective who was in charge of investigating the serial murders but failed to catch the cunning murderer and his respected superior ended up being killed as well. 22 years later in 2017 when the case is nearing its statute of limitations, a man named Sonezaki claims to be the culprit for the 1995 murders and even publishes a book titled "Watashi ga satsujinhan desu" to talk about the cases. Despite the disgust towards Sonezaki's actions, the intensive attention showered on him via the media and SNS makes him become the talk of town.

雾山修一郎（小田切让 饰）是在时效管理课工作的警察。由于部门的工作十分清闲，让雾山他的同事们整日都无事可干。某一天，当大家都谈到自己的爱好时，发现自己没啥爱好的雾山决定要发展自己的一项爱好，于是他把目标盯住了时效档案。决定调查那些过了时效的案件，寻找出其中的凶手。在交通课工作的三日月静（麻生久美子 饰）因为暗恋着雾山，所以时不时串门到时效管理课，借机找机会和雾山接触。
雾山和三日月在一堆失了时效的案件中，揪出了一些谜点，与那些犯人周旋，然后展开了别样的推理故事。伴随着各种冷笑话，最脱力系的推理故事就此开始。

A major newspaper has informally decided to employ a female university student. However, shock ripples within the newspaper because of a weekly magazine’s scoop that she is the daughter of the criminal in a serious case. This was the kidnapping of a newborn baby at a big hospital 20 years ago. The criminal demanded a ransom from the director of the hospital instead of the parents. But after the criminal had the large sum of money in hand, he died in an accident while being pursued by the police. The baby was never found. Kaji Hidekazu, a former hotshot journalist who has become deadwood in the wake of an incident, is ordered by the newspaper to re-investigate the kidnapping case. He finds out the shocking, tragic truth which had been kept under wraps.

Can a coward commit suicide?

Meet Kita Yoshio, a very unlucky man who has chosen his close friend's death anniversary as his suicide date, which is 11 days away. The number 11 has been quite significant throughout his life: he was born on November 11th; his roll call number at school was #11; and 11 years ago, he and his wife, Mizuho, went through a divorce. Debt-laden and feeling unneeded to the world, he sells off all his belongings and plans for his death date. However, on the 1st day, he meets Yashiro Heita as well as numerous other characters who will cause him to experience the most eventful 11 days of his life.
