The story of Hong Kong, from New Year's Day to June 30th, 1997, when the British left their colony and turned it over to the People's Republic of China.

A woman diagnosed with leukemia meets a Chinese-Scottish sailor who she loses contact with. In order to find him she enlists Worm, a man who runs a “lost and found” business, and the two set out to find what she’s looking for.

After inadvertently killing his girlfriend, a man flees Macau for Thailand in an attempt to cope with his guilt, and avoid possible arrest. But the relocation doesn't prevent his problems from following him, as his new friends could be potential enemies.

Kung and Kin's rivalry goes way back to the seventies when they fought over the same girl, who eventually became Kung's wife. Now they run competing phone stores right across from each other on Mongkok's busiest street, and stretch their minds trying to outdo each other with crazy promotions.

Ko Chow is an undercover cop who is under pressure from all sides. Retired gambling legend Ken returns to Macau, only to be drawn back into action when his daughter becomes entangled in a global mafia scheme. Using his unmatched skills, he must stop a dangerous plot and protect his loved ones.
