Steve Coogan, an arrogant actor with low self-esteem and a complicated love life, is playing the eponymous role in an adaptation of "The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman" being filmed at a stately home. A dissolute scriptwriter and a dejected actor become unwittingly drawn into a labyrinthine mess when several people experience bizarre accidental deaths in their flat. After being threatened during a confession, a good-natured priest must battle the dark forces closing in around him.

Dylan Moran, star of Black Books, Shaun Of The Dead and Run Fat Boy Run is a master comedian renowned for his eloquent yet razor-sharp, unrelenting wit. Aim Low: The Best Of Dylan Moran compiles 100 minutes of hilarious, classic moments across Dylan's three acclaimed live DVD's (Monster / Like, Totally / What It Is). It's downright brilliant: brimming with searing observations and grumbling invective on subjects such as aging, religion, kids, relationships and the general absurdities of life. All delivered with Dylan's renowned, shambling, curmudgeonly charm. Unmissable. ‘‘One of the brightest, most original comedians in the land’ The Times

Black Books centres around the foul tempered and wildly eccentric bookshop owner Bernard Black. Bernard’s devotion to the twin pleasures of drunkenness and wilful antagonism deepens and enriches both his life and that of Manny, his assistant. Bearded, sweet and good, Manny is everything that Bernard isn’t and is punished by Bernard relentlessly just for the crime of existing. They depend on each other for meaning as Fran, their oldest friend, depends on them for distraction. Black Books is a haven of books, wine and conversation, the only threat to the group’s peace and prosperity is their own limitless stupidity.
