As police inspector Yamato Kansuke pursues a certain man in the snowy mountains of Nagano, a shadow suddenly appears in his field of vision. Follows the exploits of the young sorceress Lina Inverse, whose life revolves around food, treasure, and fighting. The two team up, and head to Atlas City, fighting foes they encounter on the way.
