Zhang Xiao, a 21st-century woman, is transported back to the Qing Dynasty during Emperor Kangxi's reign after a bizarre accident. She awakens in the body of Maertai Rouxi, a teenage nobleman's daughter, and must navigate life in a past world shaped by her mysterious connection to this historical figure.

Spanning 20 years, from 1990 to 2010, the series tells of three entrepreneurs who founded a company together to achieve the ultimate goal of developing a pollution-free town in Hong Kong. Through the years, they face many struggles, but most particularly, the family vendetta between two of the company founders.

Despite both their desires to meet a future partner, Yan and Kong develop an animosity toward one another after a troubled meeting during 'Affinity Day'. Soon after, Kong is murdered by gangsters. Two weeks later, Kong comes back in the form of a ghost to ask her to help him prevent his own murder by traveling back in time.

The Fairies of Liaozhai is a Chinese television series adapted from Pu Songling's collection of supernatural stories titled Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio. The series is produced by Chinese Entertainment Shanghai and stars Nicky Wu, Fann Wong, Qu Ying, Daniel Chan, Lin Chia-yu, Pan Yueming, Sun Li and Cecilia Liu. Shooting began in December 2006 and wrapped up in March 2007. The 40 episodes long series is divided into four parts - Liancheng, Xia Nü, Huanniang and Xin Shisanniang.
