A Paixón de María Soliña is a feature film with a historical setting which describes the Tribunal of the Spanish Inquisition through the inquisitorial trial against María Soliña in Galicia (Spain) in the XVII century, accused of witchcraft.

Mercedes works as a cabaret performer to pay for her sister's studies. Problems begin when Mercedes and Paco, her exploiter, win a dance contest, but he refuses to share the prize with her.
