In the bourgeois circles of Europe after the Great War, can anything save the modern man? The mini-series follows the construction and history of the famous Adlon hotel in Berlin, as seen through the eyes of Sonja Schadt, the youngest member of the wealthy fictional Schadt family who are friends with the Adlons.

A call for help from gallery owner Mr. Prentice leads the three detectives into a new adventure: his apartment is said to be haunted. When the Carpathian dog, a valuable work of art, is also stolen, events spiral out of control because all the residents have a motive. As the suspects are eliminated one by one, the three detectives find themselves in the middle of their most exciting case yet.

Prince Victor looks in vain for a swan which was wounded by one of his servants. Instead he discovers a beautiful girl with golden hair who has an arrow in her shoulder. She is dumb and can't explain her origin. He falls immediately for her. The girl quickly recovers, but disappears mysteriously.
