“傻瓜英九”大否闹“美国往事”
在韩国电影界有一个异类，他究竟是旷傻瓜还是英雄，没人知道。擅长肢体表演的沈炯来塑造了韩国人家喻户晓的“傻瓜英久”这个角色，但在之后却转行导演，1996年推出了意图革命韩国科幻电影的《怪兽大决战》最后却沦为笑柄，他的国际梦想却并未就此罢休。就在《太极旗飘扬》的姜帝圭到好莱坞发展处处受挫的同时，沈炯来却打造出了首部在美国影院大规模上映的《龙之战》，在韩国本土更突破了800万人次。且不论影片的质量究竟如何，沈炯来在吃螃蟹方面永远走的比别人先。最新，沈炯来又回到喜剧本行推出了《最后的教父》，该片在美国取景、使用英文对白，并邀请到受人尊敬的好莱坞影星哈威•凯特尔主演，在韩国再度引发话题。
《最后的教父》由沈炯来自编自导自演，挂名编剧还包括创作过《儿女一箩筐》、《加菲猫》的好莱坞编剧搭档Alec Sokolow、Joel Cohen（此科恩非彼科恩，比尔•莫瑞就曾声称自己是看错了才接拍的《加菲猫》）。与《龙之战》相似，《最后的教父》又打出了韩国与好莱坞的“合体”，瞄准两端市场。影片的主人公其实就是沈炯来80年代在影视剧中塑造的“傻瓜英九”，继续以笨拙滑稽的肢体语言来搞笑，只不过背景穿越到了50年代的美国黑帮。影片预告片的开头从黑帮片的气氛跳转到喜剧片颇有些出其不意，但之后全都是老掉牙的身体搞笑，“傻瓜英久”究竟能否得到韩国之外观众的欢迎得打上大大的问号
