Video-store owner Micha is on the verge of bankruptcy. Then, on the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, a journalist portrays him as the mastermind behind the largest mass escape from the GDR.

Berlin in June of 1940. While Nazi propaganda celebrates the regime’s victory over France, a kitchen-cum-living room in Prenzlauer Berg is filled with grief.
