该作品1977年诞生，于1980年被剧场版动画化，由竹宮惠子描画的SF漫画『奔向地球』，时隔30年后被TV动画化，将于4月全新登场！
原作中描写的社会，遭到环境破坏，高度依存计算机，跟我们目前生存的世界十分相似。在那样的一个世界中，对于一群年轻人来说，何谓“正义”，何谓“希望”？
《地球…》是少女漫画家竹宫惠子连载于《月刊漫画少年》1977年1月号到1980年5月号上的SF漫画作品。共由四个部分构成。该作曾获得过1978年的SF大赏——星云赏漫画部门赏，以及第25届小学馆漫画赏。该漫画已决定制作TV版动画，并于今年4月发送。担任动画监督的是山崎理，机械理念设计为出渕裕，人设为结城信辉。
故事讲述的是距离现代非常遥远的未来——S.D.（Superior Dominance-特殊统治体制，西历3千数百年）的时代，为了拯救环境遭到了严重破坏、徘徊于灭亡边缘的地球，所有人均退居到了殖民星球。人类从出生、成长一直到独立（14岁的那一天被称为“觉醒之日”）均由计算机管理，且被分为“普通人”和“超能力保持者”两大类。大多数超能力保持者在被发觉之前都会出现情绪不稳定的前兆，这样的人就会被单独区分出来教化、处分。但也有一些从这种管理体制中逃脱出来的超能力保持者，他们组成了集团与人类敌对。在远离地球的殖民行星アタラクシア上，一名刚刚迎来“觉醒之日”的少年乔米·马奇斯·辛也是“超能力保持者”，但与其他“超能力保持者”不同，他是数百年才会出现的一名“超能力保持者”健常者。因此也成为了“超能力保持者”的领导“soldier”的继承者。而随即，乔米便遇到了作为统治者候补人“无垢者”被养育成人的、执行机关“メンバーズ?エリート”的成员キース?アニアン。二人的相遇拉开了地球新时代的序幕……
故事舞台设定为比现在还遥远的未来。
人类因为自己居住的地球遭到严重的环境破坏，为了继续生存下去，移居到了植民惑星上。
由于一直受到计算机的管理，出现了一群拥有特殊能力的人。
在新星球上遭到了残酷政府的压迫，潜藏在人们心中的自我存在意识渐渐显露，于是想要逃回故乡地球去……
于是，一场逃回地球的战斗开始了。

在空地上，小夫（肝付兼太 配音）向大家炫耀现在最畅销的神秘火车的车票，胖虎（立壁和也 配音）和静香（野村道子 配音）恳求小夫也带他们去。这时，大雄（小原乃梨子 配音）急匆匆跑了过来，哆啦A梦（大山信代 配音）已经三天没回家，小夫和胖虎在一旁幸灾乐祸的笑着。晚上，哆啦A梦回来了，原来这三天他跑到了22世纪去买银河列车的车票。第二天晚上，银河列车在后山停站了，大雄和哆啦A梦开始了他们的银河之旅，车长（伊仓一恵 配音）总是笑嘻嘻，很有礼貌。另一边，神秘的生命体降落在了后山，是来自宇宙的寄居物，寄居物将自己附在人类的身体上，来操纵人的大脑，他们的目的是将整个地球毁灭掉。
在车上奇奇怪怪的事情发生不断，大雄在车厢外看到了一个忍者，小夫说看见了海盗，胖虎则看见了恐龙。哆啦A梦告诉大雄他们出现了一伙“神秘黑色影团”。遭到黑色影团的袭击后，列车在一颗行星上停下了，而冒险这才刚刚开始……

暑假的自由研究进行不下去的大雄，用哆啦A梦的秘密道具“创世组件”开辟新的宇宙，观察地球型行星的历史。在诞生了人类之中，有个与大雄长相非常象的人。大雄对自己的祖先提供援助，成为那个世界的神秘力量。到了现代后，野比野美秀和出木松，源静代等向南极进发。并且看到了在地下世界的昆虫文明。原来，在新的地球里本来应该发展的是昆虫文明。到底新世界的命运的将何去何从……？

现实世界里的大雄一事无成，利用哆啦A梦的造梦机（港'94：“发梦机”），在梦境世界却成为英雄剑士，与妖怪军团作战，但是梦境渐渐与现实交错，发生不可思议的事情。大雄使用了哆啦A梦的任意选择梦境机套装，并配上“梦幻三剑士”（港'94：“魔域三剑侠”）的盒带，把他带进了一个超真实的梦幻世界，在梦之国（港'94：“奇异国”）当中——亚米鲁曼王国正被妖灵大帝侵略。而大雄为救静香公主并与她结婚，决定起肩负打倒妖灵大帝奥多罗姆的重任。 到底得到白银之剑而变身成白银剑士的大雄，与好友小夫、胖虎、静香及变身成魔法师的哆啦A梦在梦境中会遇到什么困难呢……
