2004年，由高桥留美子人气漫画《犬夜叉》改编的同名动画因赶上原著连载的进度无以为继，被迫中断。2008年《犬夜叉》漫画连载完毕，中断五年的TV动画版也再次启动，并命名为《犬夜叉 完结篇》。

Die auf der Fantasy-Romanreihe „Moribito“ basierende japanische Anime-Serie erzählt von der Kriegerin und Leibwächterin Balsa, die nach zweijähriger Abwesenheit in das Kaiserreich New Yogo zurückkehrt. The series was adapted as a theatrical film and two educational films. The DVD version was released on March 20, 2004.
