Un amico di Mario, Gianni, rappresentante di medicinali, tenta di coinvolgere Mario nella sua attività. Mario stretto dalla necessità, decide di associarsi alle iniziative commerciali dell'amico. Per un certo tempo le cose vanno bene ma si tratta di un benessere fittizio perchè gli affari di Gianni subiscono una crisi che porta l'azienda al fallimento.
