Suika, which means watermelon, is a Japanese television drama about four roommates, played by Satomi Kobayashi, Rie Tomosaka, Mikako Ichikawa, and Ruriko Asaoka.

18日TBS电视台宣布，将由佐藤浩市主演由经济小说家城山三郎著名小说《官僚们的夏天》改编的电视剧。该剧将在7月9点档播出。
本书曾在《周刊朝日》上连载，1975年出版为书。佐藤饰演的是怀有强烈责任感要将战后日本重建起来的通产事务次官，风越信吾。佐藤说：“这部剧是近10年20年来没有过的好企划。一定要做成当今电视业界独树一派的电视剧。我自己也觉得很有挑战价值。”
由于日本省厅改革，导致现在一般民众对高级官僚的印象极为恶劣。
制作人伊佐野英树因此决定拍摄这样一部剧：“希望观众们能够看看，将原本毫无国际竞争力的汽车电器产业引领向现在水平的男人们，是如何努力的。希望大家都能够看到他们值得骄傲的工作。”佐藤也十分热血的说：“在他们身上有种现在的‘草食男子’所不具备的男子气概。”
一同出演的还有北大路欣也、界雅人、高桥克实、高桥克典等，全是40岁以上的实力派演员。TBS的干部称：“希望观众们在周日晚受到激励，然后带着满腔热情迎接周一开始的工作。”

Set in an old prestigious ryotei (Japanese-style restaurant) in a small town in the center of Tokyo, a young itamae (cook for Japanese dishes) struggles his life, love and work while the long-lasted ryotei and the beloved old town face the change to survive the time. This heartwarming drama shows the intimate relationship of the community that has been lost nowadays, asks what the most important things in your life is, and tells how difficult it is to make a decision. The story is told in the form of a letter from him to his unknown father with lots of humor and love.

Shomuni, that's the common name given to General Affairs Section 2 of a trading company. Here are six women who have ended up in this department known as "the dump" for office ladies. But Chinatsu Tsuboi (Makiko Esumi) declares that the value of woman is equal to the number of men. With her as the central focus they create a totally new type of office lady drama that does away with those heartless men still caught up in worn-out social ideas and the class system within the company.

Upon reaching the train station to death, a dejected soul is informed that he is lucky and will have another chance at life. He is placed in the body of a 14-year-old boy named Kobayashi Makoto, who has just committed suicide. Watched over by a neutral spirit named Purapura, the soul must figure out what his greatest sin and mistake in his former life was, before his time limit in Makoto's body runs out. He also has a number of other lesser duties he must complete, such as understanding what led Makoto to commit suicide in the first place and learning how to enjoy his second chance at life.

2007年1月27日、フジテレビ系『土曜プレミアム』枠（21:00 - 22:54）にて放送された『トリビアの泉 今夜復活踊る大へぇへぇ祭り!!』内にて、トリビアの種No.153「踊る大捜査線の脇役でスピンオフで主役ができる限界は?」の検証VTRとして放送。製作総指揮の亀山千広がこの質問に「踊るシリーズ中で少しでもセリフがある登場人物なら、どんな些細な登場人物でも作ろうと思えばスピンオフ作品は作れる」と回答したことから、シリーズ中少しでもセリフがある登場人物全479人（悲鳴を上げる群衆は除く）の中から『トリビアの泉』司会者の高橋克実が演じていた内田が選ばれ、改めて『歳末特別警戒スペシャル』時点では存在すらしていなかった下の名前（当時の安倍晋三総理に因む）やプロフィールが設定され、コラボレーション企画「トリビアの泉×踊る大捜査線」として製作された。
『交渉人 真下正義』の舞台と日時を同一とした、同作では語られなかったもう1つのハプニング。警視庁警備部警護課（SP）警護第二係班長の内田晋三警部は、警護対象の大臣を、鑑賞予定の「前主十路 指揮 クリスマスに聴くラヴェルのボレロ」コンサートに無事送り届ける為、国会議事堂から会場の新宿シンフォニーホールに急いでいた。しかし爆弾魔『弾丸ライナー』による地下鉄実験車両占拠事件（TTR事件）が発生したとの連絡が入り、大規模テロを懸念した内田はコンサートの鑑賞をキャンセルし私邸に戻る判断をする。だが、クリスマスに加え、同事件特捜本部地上班の指揮を執るSIT木島丈一郎の指示により、新宿向けの車両全てに対して一斉検問が行われ、それによる大渋滞に大臣の車列が巻き込まれ、足止めを食らってしまう。

Meanwhile, he starts a career as an elephant trainer for touring shows. He meets Emi, a woman seven years his senior and falls in love.

To solve the country's low birthrate problem, the Japanese government set up Otona Kōkō (Adult High School). Adults over 30 with no sexual experience are forcibly enrolled into Otona Kōkō by the government. Eito Arakawa is a 30-year-old single man. He graduated from a prestigious university and works at a bank. He has received recognition for his work there. He is also physically attractive, but he has never had sex. One day, he receives an entrance guide to Otona Kōkō.
