On a mission to loosen up, a miser's sets about buying a house in the country for his family.

This movie is about love affairs, simple pleasures of a few men and women who will gather for a few days in a villa, around a piano and the music of Gottschalk who is perhaps the main actor.

Victor is a legal advisor who finds himself abandoned by his wife and fired the same day. He tries to seek comfort from different friends and family members, but everyone he meets is concerned with their own problems. His morale begins to falter when he realizes that no one cares about him.

Ludovic is waiting for a miracle. With six-year-old certainty, she believes she was meant to be a little girl — and that the mistake will soon be corrected. But where she expects the miraculous, Ludo finds only rejection, isolation, and guilt — as the intense reactions of family, friends, and neighbors strip away every innocent lace and bauble.
