In the year 2029, the barriers of our world have been broken down by the net and by cybernetics, but this brings new vulnerability to humans in the form of brain-hacking. When a highly-wanted hacker known as 'The Puppetmaster' begins involving them in politics, Section 9, a group of cybernetically enhanced cops, are called in to investigate and stop the Puppetmaster.

魔幻文学大师梦枕貘(《阴阳师》《沙门空海》)所著小说《奇美拉》将被改编为动画电影，押井守(《攻壳机动队》《空中杀手》)担任导演。作品讲述拥有神秘体质的高中生大凤吼，在遇到精英学生久鬼利之后，潜在力量开始觉醒的故事。对于此次改编，梦枕貘表示：我已做好将一切都交给押井守先生的觉悟。

In the ruins of a strange city, a young girl takes care of a large egg she holds carefully in her arms. She bonds with a boy who is searching for a bird he saw in a dream.

“アニ*クリ15”是由日本放送协会（NHK）于2007年推出的动画企划，该企划延请业内15名名气大小不一的动画人参与，如押井守、今敏、林明美、小林治、新海诚、竹内敦志等人。针对作品题材、创作形式与手法不作特别限定，仅规定时长为56秒左右。短片自2007年5月开始，每组5 部短片随机播放，并且事先不做预告，由于形式新颖，手法独特，因此引起观众的广泛关注，NHK还收到不少观众打来的咨询短片播放时间的电话。全部短片分三季播出，最后一集于2009年3月放送，其中包括今敏的《早上好》，这也是已故动画人今敏最后一部公开的动画作品。

Youngsters called Kildren, who are destined to live eternally in their adolescence. The Kildren are conscious that every day could be the last, because they fight a war as entertainment, organized and operated by adults. But as they embrace the reality they are faced with, they live their day-to-day lives to the full.

『御先祖様万々歳!』 (ごせんぞさまばんばんざい) は、1989年5月から1990年1月にかけてリリースされたOVA作品。全6話 (全6巻) 。
作品概要
舞台演劇というフォーマットをアニメに持って来た、台詞過剰な押井守監督のOVA作品。「立ち喰いそば」、「犬」、「大洗海水浴場」と、オシイ・ワールドのレギュラーも盛り沢山。
スタジオぴえろ10周年記念作品として製作された。原作、脚本、監督は押井守。後に、この作品を再構成・再編集したヴァージョンが、『MAROKO 麿子』というタイトルで劇場公開された。
同じくスタジオぴえろで製作し、押井が監督したヒットアニメ『うる星やつら』と同じくある家族に美少女がやって来て起こる混乱を描くコメディー。『うる星やつら』との類似は押井の意図で、声優の配役も重なっている部分があり、後にしばしば裏『うる星やつら』とも評された。しかし、売れ線の企画だと期待したスタジオぴえろ社長布川ゆうじの思い反して、押井の趣味が反映された小劇場での舞台劇を模した演出と独特の長台詞は、アニメファンのニーズに合わず、商業的には成功とはいかなかった。本作で、うつのみや理がレイアウトと作画監督のデビューを飾っている。
南家こうじが担当したオープニングアニメーションは、当時の供給媒体が ビデオテープであった事もあり、かなり衝撃的であった。
1990年代に入ってからBS2でオンエアされたが、毎回放送終了後に案内役の林原めぐみが絶句したままコメントに詰まっていた。

The Yomota family is small and typical: father Kinekuni (42), mother Tamiko (38), and son Inumaru (17). One day, a beautiful girl appears at their front door, calling herself "Maroko Yomota," granddaughter of Inumaru who travels back in time with a time machine to visit her ancestors. Despite of Tamiko's strong objection, Kinekuni and Inumaru welcome her to stay with them, and the structure of a happy family has begun to collapse.

Cyborg detective Batou is assigned to investigate a series of murders committed by gynoids—doll-like cyborgs, which all malfunctioned, killed, then self-destructed afterwards. The brains of the gynoids initialize in order to protect their manufacturer's software, but in one gynoid, which Batou himself neutralized, one file remains: a voice speaking the phrase "Help me."

Set in Tokyo in the near future, when all humanity has been wiped out, a lonely basset hound wanders around a deserted city. Its only wish is to feel the warmth of a human being once more.

A mysterious suicide and a series of unmanned robot run-aways sparks off a Police investigation into the suspicious software on-board thousands of industrial robots around Tokyo.

Summer 1995. With the arrival of the "Age of Cats", the former Kerberos police unit is now disbanded. However one member remains, a stray dog who returns to his old roost after a three-years exile. This wild dog no longer has a master, but now the "Young Lady of Fate" will guide him on his journey.

Detective Kouichi Todome, head of the elite Kerberos police squad, escapes after the unit is marked for destruction by the government. Three years later, Inui, a member of the squad, is released from prison with one goal: to find his former master. But the trail to Todome is a twisted one, and when Inui finally finds Todome, he realizes that instead of following his own path, Todome was following the orders of another.

After the director of a film in production dissappears, his replacement has to deal with the cast and crew being mysteriously killed off one by one.

In the future, rapidly advancing technology gives birth to giant robots known as "Labors," so named for their usefulness in heavy industry. However, this also gives rise to "Labor crimes," resulting the the need for a new branch of law enforcement equipped with and dedicated to the policing of Labors. When Izumi Noa, a female police officer, becomes the newest recruit of Special Vehicles Division 2, she and her top of the line "Patrol Labor" (or "Patlabor") Alphonse are swept into a series of adventures featuring crazed construction workers, eco-terrorists, and sea monsters.

A Japanese police unit who use giant anthropomorphic robots (called Labors) is caught up in a political struggle between the civilian authorities and the military when a terrorist act is blamed on an Air Force jet. With the aid of a government agent, the team gets close to a terrorist leader to stop things from going out of control when after the military is impelled to impose martial law.
