故事主角是连自己的出生地都不记得了的豹头战士古因，生于架空的世界，架空的时代，以他为中心，一幕幕的生死在上演。这部有如《三国志》般宏大的背景设定中，国与国之间的连年战争、谋略、兴亡正顺着命运的齿轮在转动，其中交织着宫廷、市井人物间的形形色色人物的野心、妄念、友情、诀别、恋爱等爱憎交织的感情大戏。
