The movie consists of 4 stories each telling how people survive on life-death choice. The story titles are: Cheering Girls, Boy? meets girl., Claim Night! and The House Full Of 'Abandoned' Businessmen.

A drama about three families who live in an upscale neighborhood. On the surface, it appears they have attained wealth and happiness, but trouble brews behind closed doors.

位于北海道的马醉村，即将被改建为机场。少年楠木亮介（神木隆之介 饰）的父亲雄一郎（三浦友和 饰）担任机场的改建任务，亮介也跟随父亲从都市转学到了马醉村。亮介清秀的面容与质朴的乡村有些格格不入，不过却找来了女孩子们的喜欢，当然也引起男孩们的嫉妒。调皮的土田公平（笹野友间 饰）为了心爱的女孩和亮介大打出手，不过两人倒因此成为好朋友。不久他们又结识了等待UFO的神秘少女柏手绯春（大后寿寿花 饰）。这个夏天因此而变得多姿多彩。

Animal Trail, a natural path made by traffic of wild animals, can sometimes be helpful for people who are totally lost in the wilderness. One day, a woman who is exhausted with her hopeless life unexpectedly meets a gentleman by chance. Out of genuine hope to escape from her misery, she allows her destiny to blindly follow the mysterious instruction given by this stranger. Would this "Animal Trail" ultimately lead her to happiness, or would it lead her to disaster?

2015年放送の「○○妻」以来にタッグを組む柴咲と遊川。本作の舞台は1995年と2020年で、柴咲はタイトルにもある“35歳の少女”今村望美（いまむらのぞみ）を演じる。物語の内容は、現時点では「25年ぶりに帰ってきた娘は、10歳の子供だった──」という一文のみ明かされている。

A few months before a law is enacted that requires the recording of all police interrogations, police officers gather at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and they receive instruction on how to treat suspects better. They observe, Yukiko Makabe from the special interrogation team Kintori interrogate a suspect who does not show any signs of remorse. Yukiko Makabe uses sharp words and shows a lack of respect towards the suspect. Due to her behavior, Councilor Reiko Kikuchi orders Yukiko Makabe to train newcomers.

Around this time, Yuta Nomoto, who received a 12 year sentence, escapes while being transferred to prison. He breaks into a house and takes a housewife as a hostage.

Masaharu Fukuyama reprises his role from 2008's "Suspect X," playing the physicist-cum-detective Manabu Yukawa. The scientist-sleuth arrives in an oceanside town to speak on a panel. But when a man turns up dead outside the inn where he's staying, Yukawa begins to unravel the connections that tie the victim to the activist daughter of the innkeepers, and a precocious boy who first appears on a train—and keeps popping up. It's a Sherlock Holmes mystery with an environmental twist, and one that should please fans of a classic whodunnit.
