Hsia Hu sneakily graduates from the Shaolin Monastery without completing his required training. During his first encounters with people outside the monastery, Hsia Hu realizes that people are mistaking him for his twin brother, Hsiao Fu, who happens to be a criminal and an expert in the art of Kung-Fu. He is now treated with respect as well as fear and is taking advantage of his mistaken identity. His fun comes to a halt when he is confronted by Yi Lan, a former accomplice turned enemy.

The film takes up the tale of Shaolin students Fong Si Yu and Hung Si Kwan (joined here by a third comrade, Lu Ka Chai) and their efforts to battle Ching oppressors. Their chief antagonist is the Abbot of Wutang who makes it his job to get rid of the three heroes and actually comes up with a clever plan to do so. He creates three exact doubles of the heroes and trains them to fight their counterparts.

Kung fu master Ling Chu-Fei (John Liu) must perfect and employ his devastating "Seven Immovable Limbs" technique if he is to defeat a renegade monk who has begun using Shaolin skills for evil. The threat becomes frighteningly personal when the ex-monk focuses his fury upon Master Ling's young orphan disciple, Small Mud Fish. Feet fly, blood spills and bones shatter all the way up to a gripping climactic duel in this 1978 action explosion.

John Liu stars as Shao Yu Pai, master of the "northern kick" kung-fu, still seeking revenge for the death of his brother. Evidence mounts that Lu Tung Chung (Alexander Lo), master of the "southern fist" kung-fu, is the culprit. What Shao doesn't realize, however, is that the true villain is subtly manipulating both the martial artists behind the scenes, hoping to force them into a confrontation and have the dirty work done for him.

Those who enter the castle of Ching never return. Forced into slavery, every day becomes a punishing ritual down the Castle's secret gold mine. John Liu plays himself as the Hong Kong martial films star and son of a NASA scientist kidnapped in Paris whom may be valuable to a criminal organization. Liu comes back to France, where he had a sentimental affair with a Frenchwoman which ended badly and also created the Zen-Kwan-Do martial school. In Paris, Liu must fight many Caucasian top fighters while he looks for his father and daughter.

Liu travels to the USA from China in search of his relatives and the hopes of finding a peaceful life. However, he has in his possession a sacred dragon medallion that was taken from the Qing court. An assassin from the Qing is sent after him, and soon he discovers that life in the Wild West is no fun at all.
