早在1986年，爱尔兰女歌手恩雅（Enya）与她的原创制作班底为BBC（英国国家广播公司）的纪录片《The Celts》（凯尔特人）担任原声配乐，获得很好的反响。所以在同年，英国国家广播公司便将其15首配乐辑为恩雅的首张同名专辑《Enya》推向市场。在恩雅加入华纳唱片以后，WEA买断了这张唱片的版权，经过重新包装，命名为《The Celts》，于1992年年底发行。发行于1992年的《The Celts》其实是一张老专辑，而且是Enya初试啼声的作品。由于是恩雅的早期作品，而且是原声配乐，所以其中的音乐风格个性并不突出，整体效果非常舒缓、平和。这些音乐讲述了古代凯尔特民族的历史与神话，略带神秘却又令人敬畏。
