Desire, Dedication, Devotion, Discipline

ok, bypass is done taking the piss. now it gets real nasty (except for a track or two). 'desire, dedication, devotion, discipline' is not a smooth ride by any means, despite the melodramatic title; it's the riot soundtrack of a bothered junglist, and it's just as mean as it sounds.



recordings of soundclashes otherwise forgotten to time resurface, albeit mangled by piercing rave stabs and raucous drum programming. there's a fear that this bypass bloke invokes in you with this release, such that you start to feel like the emcees of the soundclashes (that he loves oh-so-much to incorporate into his tunes) are your only companions whilst you trudge through this sonic warzone.



from front to back, it's janky and blown out, in a way that hasn't been heard quite like this before. and if all of that isn't enough for you, a condensed 7" version of the album retains extended mixes of tracks 2 and 6, because it's almost guaranteed you're gonna be begging for just a little bit more by the end. bypass is taking it to the max... pump pump pow.
