Enchanted by the idea of locating treasure buried by Captain Flint, Squire Trelawney, Dr. Livesey and Jim Hawkins charter a sailing voyage to a Caribbean island. Unfortunately, a large number of Flint's old pirate crew are aboard the ship, including Long John Silver.

As a movie, it's okay-ish at best. Historically, it's interesting as Disney's first full live action movie in color. Robet Newton was less charismatic than I hoped, but his exaggerated speech and facial expressions are memorable (his pirate accent influenced the whole genre and is mimicked in events such as Talk Like A Pirate Day).
The treasure was surprisingly lackluster.
